Joshua Redman - Compass

There's a group of saxophonists these days that have a similar sound of experimental jazz. Joshua Redman is easily the most well-known and it shows on this record. Experimental without losing focus on the intent of saying something which is something most jazz musicians forget about. This is essentially the sound New York musicians fail at.
