Remembering the 80'and 90's : Spotlight Performance

I'm finally posting up the Spotlight Performance meant for last week yall, but first...

SNOW DAY!!! No school, no school, no school!! lol
But this can be a good or bad thing depending on what classes you're taking.

Anyway, moving on!

I know this is late but I was trying to get work done and I just kept putting the post to the side, but I'm doing it now.

SO:
This performance is fantastic because there are no flashy lights, fancy outfits, etc. (Not that anything is wrong with any of that) But I honestly, and sadly, believe that no one in THIS day and age with an entertainment career could have a TV performance and do what these singers did. Performances today really have to be a BIG production, especially in the early stages of your career. This video was great because it was the talent that made me keep watching.

Here are some clues as to who is under the spotlight:
1.) This is an American R&B and soul quartet.
2.)According to Wikipedia: [They] secured their recording contract by accident. "We were picking up our manager from the airport. So we decided to greet him with an acappella song. Someone from A&M Records just happened to be in the airport and heard us perform. Not long after, we were signed," said Latanyia Baldwin.
3.) This group did have some success and recognition in the 90's, but I don't think they are as well know as they should be.

So if you didn't know them, you know them now!
